im not sure with regard to the "orphaned" difficulty, but I ordinarily use the etransmit purpose in autocad. It is located under the "file" tab. it is not hard to convert a pdf to vector graphics. it probably calls for somewhat extra Laptop savvy & resourcefulness than an average contractor or owner possesses, but nevertheless.
